Meet the Founder​

I’m Sheldon Miles, founder of MilesCraft and a lifelong learner who spent years solving problems and supporting people in the demanding world of IT. Now, I’m channelling that passion for clarity, precision, and creativity into the art of custom woodworking.

Throughout my career in tech, I developed a knack for troubleshooting, finding creative solutions, and delivering reliable results under pressure. Those same skills drive my approach in the workshop: every project begins with thoughtful design, careful planning, and a dedication to crafting functional pieces that stand the test of time.

My projects are crafted using locally sourced Croatian wood—a choice I make with pride, both for its exceptional quality and for supporting the community I now call home. As a Canadian who relocated to Croatia, I bring a unique perspective, blending North American craftsmanship standards with the rich natural resources found here. Each piece reflects the beauty and character of Croatian timber, created with care and a commitment to sustainability and local heritage.
